thats cool Brink.. ya I bet it's pretty loud.. you can get filters at PC stores.. none that Size I'm sure.. this sounds nasty.. but I've heard it works GREAT for PC fan filters.. even more so for someone like you with HUGE fans.. go to the store.. go to the LADIES section.. and get those Nylon Leg things...

Get the Biggest size. or a big size that will go over your fan.. and cut off any extra length... get that.. and pull if over the inside of your fan.. and Rubberband it on.. now you'll have to find big rubberbands.. or attach it some other way.. and use that.. you can get them to be really flat and looks straight.. it actually works WONDERS I've heard.. just might be a lil weird.

haha and ya, getting a new cooler is very much a good idea..

Question brink.. what CPU do you have..

I've got a Barely used Cooler, much much better than the stock intel cooler that I would sell cuz i got a new one for free.. :)

It's the Thermaltake Blue Orb 2. works really well. has blue LED's to match your case.. and I'd be willing to sell it to you for $25.. you pay shippin. I'm in las vegas.. just a thought. works FINE!

Nice Rig there acdc.... You need to do some serious Cable Managing tho.. it helps airflow MORE than you think.. makes a difference.

and as for family guy dude.. amplid.. I actually didn't run the Wires BEHIND the mobo.. that wouldn't be very safe in the long run..

that case I have has spots for cables to run.. and if you look at that first picture with the mobo in.. with no wires.. it shows right through the case on that right side of mobo tray.. the tray ends there.. doesn't go al the way through like most cases.. so with the other side panel off.. I can just run wires behind the Mobo tray.. not the mobo, but behind the tray.. and around the corner where I need them.. like that Power cable for mobo.. make sense..

Yes... it's not the best case.. but price to performance.. it's by far.. the best case you can get.. no other case in it's price range.. has the cable management it has.. the fan possibilities..can mount up to 7 120mm fans without modding anything. and the Tooless design is great..

Get that case.. what, parents won't let you.. how old are you. It's only $80 bucks.. one of the cheapest GOOD quality cases around.. just show them my pics.. then show them inside ur case with all the wires running around.. and say.. i NEED this case.. they will let ya.

Go for it.. he he

ask if you have other questions... good luck wth parents!

Needless to say due to all of the pictures...I'm rather excited about this build. Yes, the cables are messy, but I'll get to cleaning them up a bit more later..for now I just wanted to make sure everything was working.

And a comparison from my old PC and it xD

Yeah, the fans do lack filters, although it does have mesh-like screens over them...but yeah...opening the side of this thing you can feel the air just rushing out of it ^^

And surprisingly the fans aren't that loud... The fan on my graphics card is constantly running at 100%, which is very loud, but then again I haven't been able to try to move it any due to not having an OS on the system yet (doesn't get here till monday :()

Specs are:

750GB Seagate 32MB Cache
3 case fans (included built-in case) 1 120mm Antec exhaust fan in back

any other question, let me know ^^. I'll be adding another 8800 GT soon as well.

lol 8GB of RAM was just to give it some extra 'umpf'.

I figured if I was going to spend all of this money on a new system I should at least make it to the fullest potential that I was able to spend (been saving for a while lol).

And yeah, your system is sweet too ^^

Xen,

Your Graphics fan will quieten down once you have the OS installed and running. It will only run at 100% during boot or when it gets hot.

I agree though, once I'm booted into Vista the fans are not really that load. Just a slight hum.
