The side fan is aftermarket and from Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more!, it uses the 3 prong straight into the motherboard but all my other case fans use the big 4 prong and each has a male/female.
I decided on the Antec TriCool 3speed 120mm but seein as the prices went up now you may want to choose one of the other ones.
The only idea I have for your no lights being on is that maybe your motherboard bios has an option to turn them off/on.

Bigeasy18, one thing to consider is to take your pc off the floor. You will find that you will get more dust in your system like this. Something simple like putting it on a box will help.

Thanks big easy. LOL it's not the motherboard, the fans I replaced the original ones with didn't come with any lights. Looking at the newegg page though answered my question, you ordered the one with the LED blue lights lights. I got mine at fry's so I had to go with what they had. Oh well.

Roy. Thans for the tip. I didn't know that and mine is also on the floor, well it is until I go get something to set it on lol. My daughters' is also coming off the floor............

Hi, I had a look at the Antec 900, im so buying one lol. Im so syked about my pc build now! What a cool case and an even cooler price! £46-58 was what i found them at. Such great value and a 200mm fan. Well that just sealed the deal.

OK Everyone, I've been trying to decide here for a while now if I'd do a new build.. I've finally decided to just do it. So I've started my build.. got my Case, Mobo be here tomorro, same with the PSU, next comes the Intel Quad Core.. So on... (If want to kno what parts I got commin for RIG, just ask)..

So I decided to paint the inside of the Case because I hate that Ugly Metal color inside, I'm changing the Case to a Windowed Side Panel, Probably will make my own, not buy ugly one from Cooler Master.. So I'm painting it a High Gloss Shiny Midnight Black. I figured I'd be the Nice guy I am and post pictures here on my favorite Vista Place) for you all to enjoy, and possibly get idea's.

So here's the Beginning stages of my Case Mod, from taking parts off, to Putting on the first layer of Aluminum Primer

Here is the case, I realized I should take pixs of the entire job a lil late.. sorry

Another Shot of the Case

Slowly taking all the Parts off

Here's it almost finished, with It's TOP off

Doin this with my brother, 690 (Left), His Antec 900 (Right)

His And My Side Panels, Starting Primer

This is the Case fully Covered in the Aluminum Primer
I'll go easy on the Pictures.. sorry this is a lot.
Will use less in future pics.

Last Pic for today, Will do another coat in morning and tomorro night I'll start on the Midnight Blacks first coat..

Thanks for looking at my MOD job, Check back for more pictures coming soon, all the way through my build probably. But I'll use less pics, as this might be a BIG and long tread to open, and slow as hell, God forbid someone has 56K connection. So I'll keep them down.
Or maybe them smaller if anyone thinks they are 2 big.

Thanks, and come again to see the rest Later

and Nice system Brink.. if I woulda saw that Donations Thread sooner.. I would have added.. I did read all the posts and all the people that helped.. Thats totally badass that they all did that.. I wish I thought of that..

And painting the Inside of the case is really cool, as I HATE that ugly grey aluminum Color thats stock.. one thing, if you do paint inside.. clean all metal with Isopropyl Alcohol First.. Add a good 2 coats of Aluminum Primer.. and then get a High Gloss paint.. or get a dull black.. and a can of Gloss Finish.. my paint was 2 in one.. midnight black with High gloss.. I love it so far.. although you might want to get a finish anyways.. so nothing chips.. do 3 coats of main color also.. Take ur time, one a day.. good temps outside during painting. and don't rush it..

There's my full spec list someone asked for..

And Brink Good for you, I hope your enjoying that system. What all you doing with it.. other than bein on Vistax64.com are you putting that CPU and GFX card to some heavy Gaming.. you should be.. although if you do, replace the CPU cooler with something better.. the BEST around is the Thermalright Ultra 120 extreme Cooler, or the Tuniq Tower.. thats what I got.. the Tuniq.. it's HUGE tho.

Also I did consider that case you got when doing mine.. but Not only do those Fans LOOK like a Jet Engine.. but they Sound like one also when your Running your system pretty hard.. one of My Main Pet Peeves are with my computer is SOUND.. I hate hearing Fans or HD's or the DVD drive.. so all my things I get are best for sound and Performance balanced.. and that case was just to loud for me..
plus the Big front fan doesn't have a Fan Filter.. so every month or so you should pull ur side panel off and use some compressed dust off air to clean all the dust buildup out.. cuz that fan will suck it in from the next room.. so be sure to keep the dust out as it makes things Hotter and cunducts Heat..

If anyone has anymore questions feel free to ask..

enjoy my Pics.. and Brink enjoy that Sweet system..

Cheers!

Nice one brink, will you have space for the second monitor on your desk with the 28inch beast there?

Xguntherc,

With the side being practically open, the fan noise can tend to roar a bit under a heavy load. Luckily, I have not been able to put it under a real heavy load yet. I going to look into making some kind of custom filter for it. I'm debating on what filter material would work best without sacrificing much air flow. Until then, I will have to keep the ole duster handy. LOL ;)

My CPU temp hovers around 63º C, so I will probably need to look into a better cooler than the stock Intel one. Thanks for the suggestions.

Roy,

LOL, the 17" just barely fits on the top of the desk to the right of the 28" one. I do mean barely.
