Show us your rig

Staff & Grim, you guys have some killer rigs there. I'm running a nice "stock" setup, which punches out some decent numbers, but I'm sure your custom machines will leave it in the dust. Perhaps in the future, I can get a custom rig. Will have to replace my machine someday, and it might as well be a killer rig like yours :D

Thanks Joe , comments much appreciated.
Rig is running a little warm for my liking , will be modifying a few things (thanks again to Reaper!).
Namely turning the Cooler 45 degrees to create airlow through the cooler and out of the rear of the case. Will have to remove the side fan as it catches on the Thermalright.
Bought an aftermarket cooler (an Arctic Cooling Accelero Xtreme 8800) for my GPU too which has reduced the temp down from 72 deg to 55 deg!

Building a PC is great but the two years of tweaking , overclocking and opening up the caase for the sake of it is what makes this hobby!!
Geez never thought I would sound like a geek!!!!!!

Who uses cassette/tape decks these days? lol and typewriters?
Anyways, I'll prefer sound coming out of my receiver any day over computers speakers, but that's me.

Reaper on a seperate issue I have my PC in my living room next to my HD Sony amp and 42" Plasma.
How have you connect your rig to your amp?
I have used phono for sound and dvi/hdmi to component for streaming video.
Just wondered if there a better way..sound over hdmi etc??:D

Thanks , Pete

Nice setup...sounds like what i have.
You see there are people who like having, let's say 2X20-22"LCD multiple monitor setup, then there's people like me(or you) who prefer hooking up to a 40"+(in my case 46"1080P) for video.
I hook mine up from DVI(GPU) to HDMI(TV) 1080P HD signal, as for audio, I hooked it up via optical digital cable from my motherboard(output) to my Pioneer AMP 7.1 optical (input).
Now that's me, but everybody is different, depends on their own preferences, and obvious budget costs. lol

I totally agree with grimreaper and roy69 regarding the Antec 900 chassis, they just rock! And, as I have one as well, I can fully understand why you chose a 5.1 speaker configuration that is optimized to drown out the fan noise it emits.

sansui es-200 speakers are indeed old, but not pc-speakers. high class 3-way speakers from the seventies built in cases higher than a antec solo. excellent sound. and only 2 of them. just stereo. not 5.1 or 7.1, cause those would give huge amounts of cables again in the livingroom.

Well I finally decided to take some good pictures when i got home, since taking them though I took my whole computer apart and moved some things around for better airflow.(I don't know why it's so fun to take things apart for no reason)
Since everyone is showing off their Antec 900's I figured I'd throw mine out there too:

It's impossible to tell but my cpu cooler light is actually green.

I put a cold cathode in the top of my case and another 3speed fan on the side and I'm happy with it. (Maybe I won't have the urge to take it apart for another month....nah)

I should take some pictures at night, man this thing can light up the whole room.

Ok, I'm pissed lol. I have an antec 900 as well, but mine came with those big three pronged power jacks for the fans that wouldn't plug in to my motherboard. I replaced the fans with after market ANTEC fans that had power jacks that WOULD plug into my MB, but they didn't have the cool blue lights on them. I know converting the power jacks on the original fans has to be something easy enough for a moron like me to be able to do, but i don't know what it is. How do I do it so I can get those cool blue lights back?

Big Easy: how did you get a side fan with a blue light? On my case the side fan is an after market thing and the after market fans have no lights...........
