Righto, thought I might add some pics of mine...

Antec 1200 case.

Airshow2009362.jpg

Cable management at its best...never been my strongest suit. But it all fits and it works where it counts..

Airshow2009370.jpg

Reasonably clear in there. Airflow is good.

Airshow2009371.jpg

Loads of fans in this case, 3 front, two rear, and the biggie on top. All are speed
adjustable, as is the fan on the 120 cooler there.

Airshow2009365.jpg

Was a toss up between this and the Coolermaster HAF when I bought it. I think I went the antec way because it was blue and not red....seriously. Both cases are pretty similar. In hindsight I think the HAF may have the edge in build quality and useability though. The antec is very, very good, but some adjustments, such as the Hard Drive cages can be fiddly. Also, this is one heavy sucker. Weighs about 15kgs.

That is my 19" monitor...its my main "app" launch desk. I run the rocket dock off it and keep the big 24" rolling with various.

All in all, the case only cost me about AU$220...thats a bargain really. Pretty happy. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a big, blowie tower case. I would also recommend they look into the coolermaster at the same time. But I am very happy with this case.

Cheers.

DUST!!

I hope not lols!

Those pics were taken just after I reset the cables. Have been running it for a couple of weeks with the back cover off, as I worked up the energy to set the cables again.

I must say, with the Antec and all its fans... All the front fans have a removeable filter that slots in front of the fan and locks into position. It is quite effective. Catches a lot of dust, but in my situation, they need to be cleaned out every couple of weeks.

Kinda disappointed with the lenght of my 8pin motherboard power lead from the Power supply. It is about an inch too short to be able to run it up behind the mobo. Also, the PS is designed to accommodate SLI...it has a second 8pin lead for a graphics card which is NOT modular...you cannot remove it. You can see it poking its head up in the pics. Kinda defeats the purpose of modular.

My favorite thing with the Antec is the level of control with all the fans. Every one is speed controlled. Where I am, the ambient temps, can vary greatly with the seasons...until I fork out for the Air con system in the next few months...At the lower setting, the case is near silent. At full bore it....kinda roars. But jeez it moves some air.

Anyhoo..

Once I get these bad boys in Silverstone PP04 Cable Extension Kit for EPS/ATX for PSU's 24/20+4/20 Pin - Scan.co.uk

My cable management will increase by 200% :)

Hello Everlong.

Thanks, have some rep love.

Later :) Ted

Thank ya kindly :)

And Moirae, I have the same problem. I have the 750w Thermaltake PSU and it just doesn't quite reach if I put it behind the tray, hence I'm buying a pack of the extensions I linked, so I should be able to get it all behind the tray now :)

Dang Moirae! I've seen the pictures of a twelve hundred on NewEgg, but I've never seen one in use, or next to a monitor! That thing is huge.
Is it nice to have all that room?

My Computer

Yep. Good to have all that room. It is rather large though...Overkill really. But hey, I value the cooling ability.

I've seen those extensions before. Can get them on ebay also for a couple of dollars. I'll definately pick one up. It wasnt until I recently switched out the motherboard that it became an issue...

It is a good case and I am very happy with it. I would recommend it to anyone. I honestly think its biggest competitor is the Coolermaster HAF. Which is a excellent case in its own right. As I mentioned in my first post, the HAF is probably a better finished product. Especially in regards to its Hard drive bays, and ease of access. On the 1200, each drive bay (there are three) can hold three drives each. They are held in position by Four thumbscrews on EACH SIDE OF THE CASE. Thats eight screws per drive bay. That's er...kinda annoying if your tinkering. A nice screwless quick release set up would be super and completely make this issue moot.

If you look at my photo's, you will see that there is only one screw on each drive bay :P .... Thats me being lazy. There is zero vibration from the bays though. And the speed adjustable fans are very, VERY effective keeping the drives cool.

Other than that, its well made, solid, not many knuckle slicing jagged edges either.

Anyhoo. :P

How well do you think a gtx 260 would fit on the Rampage II Extreme if you use the discrete sound that comes with the board? Or would it fit at all?
