Hmmm - I haven't tried entry level yet - I always try the level recommended for my computer, P? I cannot remember - new Vista install and I haven't gotten around to installing Vantage again....

I should try that with my dual GTX 260s and my OC'd 6600....so I can justify buying a 9650

That is something I would like to see as I was wanting to get a second one myself to put in SLI, please post some 3DMark06 results as well. How long have you had two of those cards and how come you haven't posted your results? You have been holding out on us lol.

Recently I bought new case for my PC - an AeroCool S9 Pro, with a huge side fan. As this case is much wider than my previous one I decided to change my CPU cooler as well So I bought Scythe Mugen (Infinity) :D I also added two Noctua NF-P12 120mm fans to blow the air in and out of the case (one of them replaced the standard 120mm fan that came with the case, as it was too noisy)

After 30 minutes of stress testing in orthos temperature on my CPU stabilized at 49C! :D And my CPU is overclocked to 3.73GHz :D This is just awesome result, as my previous cooler under load achieved 65C Idle temp is 33C, but this is the lowest temp that my MB can display for the CPU, unfortunately. I bet that the idle temp is lower than that The cooler was definitely worth the money :D Now with this new case entire system temp is 30C, under full load (and I mean while gaming i.e. in Crisis) it increases just to 34C!

When I get my hands on the camera I'll post some photos of my current setup

Those Noctua fans are great, aren't they. Sooo quiet. Shame about the colour though. I have 2 x 140mm. Cut my case noise right down.

They are good aren't they. I'm looking to get more. With fans that good, you can forgive them for being ugly

Eye know, Eyeknow. They are the best. I don't run mine on silent either, so could reduce fan noise to a whisper. How's the foot-rot and mouldy clothing, Smarty. I saw how you got a drenching and I bet it was no fun either!:eek::eek:

Surprisingly this side fan is very quiet On Aerocool site it states that it has around 12dB... personally I would say it gets around 16, but for a fan of this size it's a great result It has only 400 RPM, but according to specification it is getting around 250 CFM of air flow! :D

Yes, they are definitely worth their price :D Previously I was using NoiseBlocker fans, but Noctua beat them all the way down! Comes in a box with silicon mounting "things", which further reduce the noise and vibration First thing that I did when I put my PC in the new case was to replace the standard fan that Aerocool put on front of the case. I don't like my PC to light my whole room in the evening and that fan had 4 insanely-bright blue LEDs mounted in it. The other disadvantage was that it was too loud... so I bought those Noctua fans, and I got silence at last :D

All four of mine are running at full speed and the PC is very quiet So I recommend those fans, they are worth a buy

Lol. At least the carpets have stopped stinking Others copped it much worse than we did, so all things considered we were very lucky.

I ditched the LNA adapter after a few hours. A few decibels difference doesn't bother me.

A silly question, but is that side fan an exhaust, or is it blowing inwards? I'm assuming inwards.

I get what you mean about the LED's. Sure they may look cool, but I find even tiny blue LED's annoying in the dark. Never mind a spotlight

Yes, it's blowing inwards I hate blue LED's My LCD panel has a blue/orange light under the button, but this is ok, as it's not so bright, but when I bought my speakers... man, that was a surprise like with this aerocool fan The blue insanely-bright LED's on the control panel on subwoofer, and each of them was a big one, made watching a movie in the dark impossible, as in my room the sub is front-facing me. So I came up with an idea to darken them... somehow I had plenty of SD cards "write-protect" stickers laying around They were round and in enough size to hide those bright LED's So I painted them black and made a small not-even-a-1mm hole with a needle in each one of them, and the result is that I know in which mode the speakers are, I know at which level the volume is, and the light is not "blinding" me anymore :D Simple ideas are often the best

Do you have much problem with dust getting in? I'm looking at getting a new case with a big a** fan soon-ish, but I have a lot of dust floating around that gets into everything I suppose it can't be any worse than just leaving the side off...

Well, front fan has a filter in this case, and every 5" drive bay has a meshed cap with filter too, so it's well ventilated, but the side fan doesn't have any filter. And personally I think it doesn't need one. It has a strong blow, but it takes air from side of the case, not from the bottom, and front. Dust accumulates in any case, no matter what.

Lol, don't I know it. I just re-arranged some things inside my case and it looks a couple of months worth of dust is in there, not a couple of weeks
