Add/Fix
1.) Driver :
1. Customizations.
2. Change Creative components for the certain customers.
2.) Package :
1. Change Japanese language on finish Dialog of installation .
2. Fix DCC uninstalled issue. Both MSI and GUID uninstallation procedure supported .
3. Fix uninstall problem in Windows 7 . The DIFxAPI DLL file supported in Windows 7 .

Just a note and reminder....make sure that you do a system restore before you install this 2.15. The Realtek may suddenly disappear and the standard sound might show up. It works but the Realtek is nicer.

I just got a new computer and i was attempting to have my rear and front audio ports work at the same time. ON my old computer i could to that by easily using the advanced Device Settings, however on my Realtek HD audio manager there was no Advanced settings. I downloaded the drivers from the first post, and now Realtek HD audio manager won't open up.

My Computer

Hello Tributex, and welcome to Vista Forums.

You usually have to install and restart with the drivers twice. Once to remove the old version, and twice to install the new version. Try reinstalling and restart one more time.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

thanks, that brought my HD manager back, however i still dont have the box for advance Device settings, any suggestions? Also, when i plug in the headphones, it just cuts the sound off to the rear audio port. On my lat computer when i plugged headphones in, it would cut the sound off but in the Realtek manager, there would be a 3rd option for a 2nd HD audio port or somthing. (It had Speakers,Digital output,2nd somthing. This one just has Speakers and digital out)

My Computer

Hi there, wondered if you would be able to help me.

I have never on my current laptop been able to use the realtek hd audio manager, because it seemingly doesn't want to run or doesn't exist or something. I upgraded to the most recent version to try and fix this, but the manager does not appear on my control panel, and the RtHDVCpl.exe program (that is presumably the realtek audio manager) will not start up on my computer. The registry keys are present in the usual "run" folder for both the above program and Skytel.exe, but neither of them actually startup when i log on! I have tried installing the update several times with no avail.

Any ideas?
Thanks for any suggestions.

Some OEM computers will have a custom version of the Realtek HD Audio Manager with the OEM manufacturer's name included instead. For example it may be named "Acer [Realtek] HD Audio Manager" instead for the OEM Acer.

I own an acer, but when i open up the Realtek HD audio manager, on the bottom it just has Realtek. Would that mean i have the actual Realtek version and not an Acer custom version?

My Computer

Hello Tributex,

Yes, you would be correct. I would not worry about it though. They are almost identical anyway. If you do have a feature that is no longer available with the Realtek version, then you should be able to download the Acer version from the Acer website instead.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

My sound is coming through very low, even with everything turned up to full the green bar stays about 10% up the meter, my gf found a setting in the past that she ticked (i think it sound limited sound or something along those lines) and that fixed it, i have since reinstalled my pc (got the latest drivers) but cant find this setting?

Cheers

no it wasnt that setting, from what i rememeber it was a tab which within had a solo option saying limited or limit as soon as this was ticked/unticked the volume meter started hitting to the top of the meter and the sound was loud.

Im using Vista Home Premium 64bit, Toshiba A355D :D, ALC272 (6.0.1.5689, trying to update but the server doesn't respond this time ). I mean that, i want use 4 speaker (front LR & rear LR).
