I was pretty fortunate this Christmas and received a Zune.

After scanning the free software list I was wondering if anyone could recommend an AVI to WMV file converter for Vista 64?

Free Download Manager is one of the best DL managers I've ever used and works perfectly with Vista. A worthy addition to the list I reckon :-)

Hi El Beasto,

Free Download Manager says it's only good with the 32-bit Vista. How does it work on your 64-bit Vista?

Hi Shawn,

I didn't notice the '32 bit only' info on the site until you pointed it out but it has worked perfectly for me on Vista 64 since I installed it. I've literally had not one problem or complaint with this app and have used it to download a lot of files on both Xp32 and Vista x64.

I really have to give this app a big thumbs up, it's totally free, very easy to use, has lots of features and works flawlessly :-)

Note: I'm using the lite version which doesn't have bitTorrent support or video conversion.

What would some of you experts recommend for the best DVD burning program? I'd like to be able to burn some video to DVD and be able to play it in my DVD player with as little trouble as possible. So many good looking options, but hard to know which one is best. I have x64 (just found out from clicking on the "my system specs", lol)

Rawbery79, I used DVDFlick (DVD Flick) on my Vista 32-bit. Not sure if it works on x64.

Hi Shawn,

It is available free from plenty of places , including here

VistaBootPro | System Resources Tune-Up. Download | PC World

I already had it , but just d/l and and installed another copy from the above link to make sure.

It is not terribly clear, but I suspect if you get it direct from Pronetworks , the fee includes support.

X-Mouse Button-control v1.37 enabled me to program buttons on a logitech trackball where there were no options available. It is a free download and has lots of options for reassigning buttons. It may be what people are looking for.

Did you ever manage to change the name of the computer maker, etc in the way you wanted to ?

If so, how?
