Here's another utility I cobbled together. It should have been part of Windows back in Win95 in my opionion.. but it's a gizmo that sits in the task tray and monitors the active window looking for Explorer windows. If it finds one that's not already in the Most Recently Opened list, it adds it. If say you drill down in Explorer then close the window and realize you need to go back to the same folder, instead of drilling down all over again, you right click the tray icon and the last 16 folders opened are in there. Just left click.

It's called MRO. As of version 5.0 I got rid of the licensing. It does have commands
that call other licensed FavesSoft utilities so I'll leave it to your call if it's "freeware" or not. You can take a look at the description: MRO 5.0

The licensing bit is a PITA so I'm thinking of converting to Donate buttons instead.
But it will take some time to rebuild the various utilities.

It looks like a handy utility. Since it may require FabeSoft programs that are required to be paid for, it cannot be added to the list. Only if the other programs were free to.

That's cool. The site is in transition. I'm going to remove license checking code
from all the utilities. I've already converted the Purchase page to a Donate. I'll
let you know when it's done.

I removed the licensing from Faves Launcher
as of version 3.0. It should be fully enabled.

It's a bit different than most launchers in that it
doesn't use icons. I used a Text Editor metaphor
so that one could swipe multiple items with the
mouse and right click to launch them simultaneously.

I've been using it with XP and Vista 32 bit for quite a
few months so any bugs should just be glitches from
removing the license checking code.(hopefully there
are none but if I missed anything it should be easy
to fix.)

The 2 ancillary programs called by MRO are both now fully enabled and can be
downloaded from my site. There are no limitations, expirations or license checking.
Just a Donate command that navigates to the donation page on my site. All
software licensing is being phased out. I even removed the design time licensing
on my ActiveX Controls.

I've removed all license checking code from my utilities. Instead there's either
a Donate command in the program menu or startup group menu. Everyone is
welcome to download and try them out. There are no time or usage limits or
limited features. Everything is enabled. I would guess that the utilities that
use Shell Extensions would be the ones that may have a problem with 64
bit Vista since they are 32 bit Shell Extensions.

Unlocker - UNLOCKER 1.8.7 BY CEDRICK 'NITCH' COLLOMB

WARNING: This program does not work with the 64 bit Vista, but I had to add it since it is a very helpful program.

Unlocker is a utility program used to help you delete a file that you get one of these errror messages on:

• Cannot delete file: Access is denied
• There has been a sharing violation.
• The source or destination file may be in use.
• The file is in use by another program or user.
• Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use.

I see on his site that cedrick is working on a vista x64 version, but in the meantime, is there similar program to kill a process running in the background (thats not in the task manager)...or is there a way i can do this manually when i know what the dll is? (in my case "isoshl64.dll" from ultraISO as i am trying to install a clean copy)

Hi BleepingCrazy,

That's strange that it would not be listed in Task Manager if it was a running process. You might see if using the command taskkill /im isoshl64.dll /f in a elevated command prompt to kill the process can help. You might also see if you can install it while in Safe Mode.
