Hi all, just wanted to let you know that I downloaded the Piriform Defraggler and man does it do a great job. My system was getting a little slow and while I have the windows and Tune-Up Utilities I thought I would try it. Oh wow what a difference, I got my speed back and performance wise it is much better that the other two. You get it from the same place you get CCleaner and Recuva. Give it a try and see what you think. Comments allways welcome.

I saw earlier in the list that someone had mentioned Mailwasher, I use that, in fact I've used it for years. First had it installed on my WinME machine then went onto XP Home machine and when I got my Vista one in July I installed it on here and it works like a charm.
I would mention though that I use Windows Live Mail and not the native Vista Windows Mail.
I have it set up with two ISP accounts plus Hotmail and Gmail.

VistaTweaker looks promising, but it is still a early beta copy that has a few reported bugs in it still. Perhaps when a non-beta version is released.

Xillisoft - (Trial version only) video convertor, video editor, dvd ripper. Very similar if not copy of Imtoo software and is working.

Am after DVD burning software similar to NERO. Nero no work on my 64 8(

With Xillsoft I found it is a great U-tube video downloader. One of the first programs installed... this plus VLC which is already mentioned made it real easy for me to download u-tube videos and then watch them rather easily... With a few conversion programs haven't found one I really like that is free I can then put them on my zune and I pod.

I wrote a super simple dialog to Open and Close the Tray for Optical drives. I have 32 bit XP and Vista to try it on but I'd appeciate any feedback from people running 64 bit Vista. It's a compiled AutoIt3 script. I don't see any reason why it shouldn't run just like any other 32 bit exe code but you don't know for sure unless you try.

It's freeware. Everyone is welcome to download and use Tray

Great little app MilesAhead. It works fine on my 64 bit Vista Ultimate SP1. I will add it to the list. For now I'll put the direct download link you posted. Do you have another link for it that is a information page?

Thanks for the info about 64 bit. For that app it's so simple that I
didn't do a description html page. It pretty much depends on the included
readme file. There is a general download page that has a mix of freeware and other
downloads. The license for the paid software is a "one license works for all utilities" type of license.
