Window Experience Index Scores

Hi,

My E8400 scores around 85500 and your processor is around 68000 with your overclocking.

Mine is slightly underclocked at 29990mhz - a lot of guys run this at 4Ghz - must be way off the scale in terms of scoring at that speed !

Hi,

Just wanted to now does anyone know when the Windows Experience Index is going to be updated because I would really like to know what all the 5.9 scores really are, I'm sure there are some great scores out there and even mine would be nice to see as all but my CPU score the current top mark

Fairly good for a laptop, I reckon. Interestingly, my 'Gaming Graphics' has gone up to 4.6 from 4.3 since I reinstalled Vista as x64...

I have read somewhere that there is a reason for the 5.9 score but it eludes me atm, with future releases of new operating systems the score is supposed to be raised to proberly 6.9 and so on over time.

Hi Sli,

That's interesting, I've got an Nvidia 8600GT 512mb but I only get 4.6 for my graphics score. It must be because you have 4gb RAM - I've got 2gb.

What kind of RAM are you using?

I'm using 4 sticks of Corsair XMS2 DDR2 PC6400 800mhz and I'm running a pair of Nvidia 8600GT 256mb XXX Edition factory OC'd but thinking of upgrading to the 8800GT or one of the 9 series.

Axon, to what did you overclock your CPU? I have the same CPU as you, but it is the only thing which keeps my score at 5.7. I've tried overclocking it, but an overclock to 3.3 Ghz gave me no change in the score at all.... Not sure if I want to go higher just to affect the score... I mean, I'd set it back to factory setting afterwards anyways...

Since the OC was giving problems (I'm a rookie), I put everything back to it's original, but it stays 5.9 (Don't know why). I overclocked to 3.3GHz too.
