My System Volume Information stores my System Restore files. System Restore files are chained, which reduces space taken, but if a single link in the chain is damaged, every restore point beyond that point will always fail. I just have quite a few, massive, restore points!

Geez, I sure hope I don't get that. I got all the shots they have to prevent such things. Given my normal breathing condition, something like that would really wipe me out - possibly to the point of being hospitalized. Then again, I don't travel or go out much, so I'm not as exposed as most people.

I usually manage to get this kind of cold in the winter. I spend a ton of time outdoors in the summer and never catch anything, but being indoors so much in the winter, including at work, seems to be a trigger to getting this damn cold. it's been unbelievably cold this winter too, sub zero temps, so getting outside has been harder to do this year.

I'd rather have it now though, than getting it when it's 90 degrees and humid......that really sucks when that happens.

The honest answer is that I am not very sure! My restore points are massive, but why! I shall of course investigate this fully, and I shall of course not delete them (yet at least) I shall also see how fast they are growing (with just one new restore point etc. etc. and then constant monitoring)

What! It has shrunk overnight! It is now only 106GB! I guess it must have hit the disk percentage maximum. Yesterday the largest file was 33GB. Now the largest is only 28GB. Hmmmmm.
