We don't call them 'wet backs', but I knew what you meant. Hence the wink, wink. Several of my friends have them. Several of them also have hot water baseboard heat incorporated. I have a small air tight stove in the living room that heats the whole house very comfortably although it makes the air a bit dry. I keep a small pot of water on top of the stove for that. If I load it right full, it will heat for 10-12 hours without tending. Don't do that unless I'm leaving for that period of time. I only burn 4.5-5 cords of wood a year that I cut and split myself, so heating the house for the winter is generally less the $100, mostly gas for the truck, saw and splitter. Maybe a couple 6 packs & lunch for a helper if I have one. Not bad these days.
