Show us your rig

If I had any money, I'd definitely build my own rig from scratch again. Last time I had cash I went to Dell.

STOP SCREAMING!!!

The idea being that it was just as I had started university, I new I wouldn't be able to afford a new computer for a while whilst studying and with the 3-year warranty I haggled down to "free" - I was completely covered should anything go wrong.

Lots went wrong, and after some more arguing (4 days) I got myself a brand new, fully upgraded computer for the cost of nothing (well, nothing except the phone call) and you'll find the details in the wee drop down box.

It's nothing much to look at, but I'll upload the pic of the whole thing once I've found my micro-SD to mini-SD converter chip :)

To be honest, after seeing some of the rigs on here - I'll most definitely be building my next PC myself. Maybe if I stuck a discoball on top of the tower, or even just tape a small torch to the side of the monitor which I can flicker on and off... who knows :)

Hello everyone,

As I promissed in my fisrt post, here's my new system. Most of these parts are not easy to find where I live at and they are surely expensive so I couldn't build a super cool pc. I'll try and make a LCS and MOBO upgrade in the next few months but for now, it'll have to do. I tried to do my best with cable management but with this PSU having all that many cables, it was very hard.

Cheers!

Looks like you actually did a fairly good job with that from here. The only way I'd see you being able to get them more out of the way would be to get one of the cases where the side compartment is accessible to run your cables through.

These are some Creative 2.1 (Cant remember the name very well srry). They do the job if you are not concerned about extreme HD audio. I even use the on-board audio card and I can't complain :S Only problem is the volume thingy... after 2 months, it began rising and lowering. I need to go and buy the electronic variator to replace it.

I don't know exactly what you are talking about here... Can you please throw some examples at me? It's not gonna be now but one case I have in mind is the Cooler Master 2000s or any TT Armor. Do you mean something like that?

Well, Antec had one where the power supply went in a separate compartment in the bottom, and then there was a hole that you took the power cables through into a panel that went behind the main space (where the motherboard goes), and then pulled through just the cables you needed through one of three well positioned holes. I was going to give you the link to it, but it has evidently been discontinued. I suspect there are others like that, but haven't had time to find one this morning.

Personally I'm thinking of changing from the case I've been using to the Antec 1200 since it looks like it's a bit roomier for putting in two video cards.

Hope this helps.

It looks nice. Specially the top part that places the MOBO away from the ceiling, leaving room for cabling top connectors. ot bad. I'm looking forward to see you use it and comment about it ;)

Very Nice PC!

I have the following games installed on the new rig so far...
Velvet Assassin, Stranglehold, Empire Total War (SF edition), NecroVision,, Far Cry 2, Left 4 Dead, Call of Juarez, Crysis Warhead,Burnout Paradise Ultimate Boxset, Demigod, COD4, COD5 - WAW, Battlefield 2, Stalker Clear Sky & Bioshock amongst others. I'll be getting Prototype and Mirrors Edge this weekend after I've attended my next LAN party which starts tomorrow and runs until Sunday....

Battlefield 2 is my GAME! I <3 it lol

I use xfire. Do you use xfire? It is easier for me to use to see when people are on.

If you have it - my name: accordracin96 or [email protected]

I only have BF2 and Counter-Strike installed on my PC. Where did you get all your games from? Bought new?

-Jeff

I don't use Xfire or anything like it...not fond of software that isn't necessary! The last two games I bought happened to be Battlefield 2 and COD4 as I tend only to buy really good games, and the rest I'll usually d/load. GTA 4 and Prototype may be my next purchases. They look SWEEEEEEEETT running on my machine!:D

7-8-09, bought the haf932

everything in this case is what was in the pics that showed the centurion 590 case. i absolutely love that i was able to hide all of my excess cables. since the haf932 has the small window on the top of the left side panel, i spent a few dollars for a red l.e.d. 120mm fan for the cpu cooler. i love this case :D

how do you have the fan in the 5.25 drive bay mounted?

i'm not a know-it-all, but i did know that one... i just thought it looked cooler.

lol, I hope you don't think I am :p I've just read that it may actually hurt performance having both bridges attached. It does look the business though ;)

how do you have the fan in the 5.25 drive bay mounted?
The fan in the bay is a real "hi-tech solution" - Blue tack on the bottom and a satay stick on the top. No vibration and it's secure :D
