I'm picking up my Z-5500's tomorrow , I'm gonna grab a Monster Cable Fiber Optic audio cable (8ft) to connect them as well. I was really surprised at the price I get as an employee on Monster Cables, it's ridicules.

Wow...that micro ATX MoBo sure looks small inside a full tower case eh...leaves lotsa room for cable Mgmt, I wish I had that luxury. I used the space behind my front Audio/Video panel and the only open 3.5" bay underneath that to store the extra PSU cables in mine, but trying to stay within the 2 device rule and so many fans, EL wires, and other 4 pin power devices needed, it was hard to keep everything nicely tucked away. I didn't stay with the 2 device rule on fans and lighting since that doesn't make sense really but there's still just too many wires needed in there to keep it all hidden so after awhile I kinda gave up trying too hard...LOL!!
Maybe next cleaning or upgrade I'll get some more cable sleeving and try to do a bit more in there.

Got a new mobile phone with a 5MP camera, so thought I'd test it out with taking some screens of my PC (already posted the outside, didn't get any of the inside).

Cable management inside isn't too bad I find - the 8pin CPU connector was just a bit too short to go behind the motherboard, and the 24pin connector was too thick to go behind as well as I couldn't get the other side panel on with it behind, but the airflow is still good and keeps everything cooled.

I'm also using the ASUS SLI bridge with an XFX motherboard because the XFX bridge was too big and looked kinda stupid.

Yes, those are stuffed bears on the left in the cabinet. I've been meaning to put something a little more awesome into that cabinet for awhile now, but I've got no idea where to but those things (I've had them all for like 10 years now)... Anyways, I've got a couple questions for you Z-5500 owners out there:

Q: I've set my speaker configuration in Vista to the 5.1 option but when I do the Vista sound test I get no sound from my Front Left/Right speakers, Is this normal?
A: Bah, nevermind I'm just a retard. Apparently the Grey input is different than the Lime input on the back of my PC *gonk*

Q: When I'm listening to music on my Z-5500's using Windows Media Player I am getting most of my sound (treble+everything that isn't bass) from my Center and Rear Right/Left speakers. It might just be me, but I am accustomed to having 5.1 systems output most of the sound on the Center and Front Right/Left speakers. I thought that the Rear Right/Left speakers were just there to "add" to the environment with diminished and slightly dulled down sound... What's going on here, and how do your speakers output music from WMP?

You should try and move that sub-woofer away from your PC. It should be atleast 3m away from your base unit as the magnet inside it has the potential to wipe your hard drive. It mentions this in the instructions.

The side table's too small unfortunatley. Half of the PC would be hanging over the edge. The case is a lot bigger than it looks like in the photos.

@ Everlong: I had a hard time fitting the 24pin as well and with the CPU cable too, but I just pushed and squeezed a bit and it fit perfectly, that's the main reason why my case is pretty tidy, the CPU and 24 pin connector are behind the mobo tray... Oh and I routed the PCI-e connectors through there as well

Looks good grimreaper, to help with your cable management maybe try turning those HDD's around the other way if they fit, I think that's the way most people use that type of drive bay.

The CM-1000 is big though. The stores never had one on display and was a little larger than I was expecting when I got it but it's so much more than the pictures promised. I can't recommend this case highly enough, it is worth the money and will last years.

So true, when I got mine as well, I did not expect it to be that large but I love it, lots of room.

That and the fact that the little side table would probably collapse, it's not that sturdy at all.

Nope.

That's stuck to the subwoofer packaging when you unpack the system. Plus there was a similar warning no my old Logitech subwoofer and it was located in the same place for over a year.

I built my PC, so I'm positive that nothings coming loose from the "shock wave" as you put it. The woofer can't put out a powerful enough "wave" to knock anything loose in my case, since I secure everything really well. My PC has fallen off the side of my desk and suffered no damage or components knocked out of place.

Hi FreeLancer, congrats that you have a tank which is very impressive for no damage falling from the desk.

However not everyone does. Almost every time after I playing games, my SATA cables on the Seagates keep coming loose that I have to tug on it to avoid freezing up. After I moved the sub to the other side of the desk the problem seems less frequent. Therefore I assume the shock waves is it. Finally I replaced the SATA cables with after market ones and the problem has been taken cared so far. It also depends on how loud you have your sound set on.

About the double posting, I still can't figure out how is the Edit button would help in this case. Apologize for the inconvenience.
