Like many posting in the Nvidia forums, I am not too happy with them right now.

Like those people I've found that the last several sets of drivers always fail - PhysX and 3D Vision both fail so the NV CP doesn't install either, despite removal of old drivers first, running Driver Sweeper etc. etc. (Which one shouldn't have to do because their installer is supposed to do all that for you).

So I'm now stuck with 182.15 for my GTX 295 in my main Vista OS (I quad boot), the other one and my Windows 7's all have accepted the latest drivers....why that is I have no idea.

I've just gone through about 30 reboots and finally have managed to get my high-res screen back and am not going through that again.

Nvidia support might as well not exist...it's their own card, but trying to have them troubleshoot it is impossible.

There has to be something in this Vista boot that the driver installer is balking at, but what is another question.

I've tried disabling all active security protection, still no luck.

I did at one time succeed in installing 260.89 but a couple of aborted attempts to update that unfortunately wiped out not only all traces of the previous driver but my good Restore points too.

Now I'm back to what Windows installs as the basic drivers. This is on my C: drive.
