Oh and johngault. I'm going to be jealous if you do SLI, but guess what I just got. I know you have them, but I have better ones. I got my second 22 incher today.. and oh baby do I love the Real estate. I put a picture up in Show ur Rig, but I'm exited. So here's another. I have the Samsung 226BW, and the Samsung 2253BW, both 2ms response. and the new 2253 has a 8000:1 ratio instead of 3000. so I'm exited. personally the 2253BW (New one) looks better, it just looks more realistic. really it does. So here it is.

oh and the left side is new one, looks shorter, but it's cuz it's on an angle. Got any idea's on how I should angle these on the desk, whats ur's look like john?

Mine are flat SxS - I don't angle because I like to watch movies in bed too.

And you didn't answer my Q - can SLI be enabled and disabled in the OS even if the SLI bridge is attached? If so, then I have my optimum solution for SLI for gaming when I want and dual monitors when I want....

So tell me this, if they are flat. Is one right in front of you when ur on the chair. or are they both to the side.? like I still want one to be directly in front of me..

wher's the picture you posted of yours back when?

and yes there is a setting to enable and disable if I remember correctly. it should be in the Nvidia video settings once you have them both in. You should be able to switch the way you want to.

I am just left of center since I use both extensively, but focus on the main monitor, which I have to the left.

Hi Splosher,

It sounds like you were lucky enough to find a bug in the beta 169.44 version. I would just stick with the 169.25 until the other one is realeased as a non beta version.

Hello, just found your forum and it sounds like just the ticket for me - a new Vista64 user.

I am having the same "wrong uninstaller version" when trying to install the v175.19 geforce drivers. I have an OEM version of asus m2n and am trying to install an asus 9600GSO.

Any suggestions? The front page of this thread says there is a more updated version with whql, but the nvidia look up applet points to this one.

Hi Hankxr, and welcome to Vista Forums.

In addition to John's post, you can use the 177.83 driver version since you have a 9 series card to have PhysX included in them.

OK, finally for the first time since I got my GTX260 I tried a different Driver.. I was going to get the .89 but I decided I didn't wanna mess with all that openGL stuff and whatever else was bloated into that Driver. So I went to Nvidia.com and they said get the .41 that I already have. So I went to eVGA.com and searched for drivers for my exact card and It listed the .83.

So. I finally updated my drivers and I got the 177.83

I have not tried any games yet with this Driver. But I am happy to inform you all that I got about a increase of about 240 points in 3DMark06. doesn't seem like much but whatever, every little bit counts.

Interesting just to see the differerent results. Hopefully my games play a lil better also. Considering this is probably more of a driver update for the 200 series than anything else. Like I have. So I'm hoping it will help out.

Attached NVIDIA control panel shows driver 177.83, and I couldn't be more happier..games rock right on!:D
So clear, brighter, sharper, and also helps I updated my GPU connection from DVI to Monster Ultra 1000 series HDMI to my HDTV via HDMI.
Counter Strike Source, COD4, Crysis, and some other "low budget games" lol

Nobody else tried .84 CUDA with Physx drivers?

Like I said in the other thread, noticed an increase in overall PC performance. Not much FPS increase with games, though physics seem smother in games. And 2000~ increase in 3dmark Vantage.

I've looked at the Nvidia site and read the info but it doesn't make a compelling or very comprehensible case for trying them.
However, Everlong mentioned performance improvements.
I looked but couldn't locate the other thread he has talked about these drivers in.
Has anybody tried them yet? Looks like I'm determined to break this thing..

What would I benefit from the other 2?

I thought the toolkit was just for developers and the samples were just examples of CUDA code?

Sorry to be such Noob here, but this system is new and my first NV card, so I need some guidance if its ok to ask....
My current drivers are forceware 175.56. ( pic attached ) I know I need to update but I'm alittle confused looking at this thread on good drivers for my card. Any advice or a link with some help would be very appreciated... Thanks !

I downloaded the 177.84 plus the other two exes and just installed over the 177.83.
They seem to have installed fine and everything is working as it should.
I was going to try the PhysX with the free Warmonger game but seem to have lost it during my recent problem which involveed a system restore. I'm downloading it as a torrent file but it's coming in very slowly so I don't think I'll have a chance to play tonight.
My other games are Halflife 2 Orange Box, Crysis, Bioshock and Stalker S.O.C. but I don't think any of them use the PhysX software.
I think I'll get Mass Effect as this has got good reviews and I believe it uses PhysX. Do you have any recommendations?
