It has some big fans but only 4 of them, I have seen others with more fan options. Have you used it before though?

i haven't used one..... like i said i wish i had one.... but i have seen some videos of people running i7's and two or three cards on sli\crossfire and thier temps are LOW
all in all it is a really good case ok and it might only have 4 fans.... but, the top one can be change to..... i think it was 3 120's and its got everything you need for watercooling

The HAF has good airflow with just the stock 4 fans.

If you wanted to, the side 230mm fan can be replaced with x4 120mm fans. The top 230mm fan can be replaced with x3 120mm fans. There is also room for another 120mm fan to exhuast from the bottom of the case. You could probably get at least another 1 or 2 120mm fans in the front above the front 230mm fan. In other words, it has plenty of fan options

Cores 29-33c (idle)
Cores- 54c at load on my hottest core (around 40-50 on the others, give or take)
MB- 30-34c
4850- 43-46c (idle)
HDD's 24-29c

With my old case my MB temp was at least 6-7c higher. The GPU temp is at least 7-10 degrees cooler at idle and about 10c cooler at load than it used to be. The HDD's are at least 5 or so degrees cooler in the HAF.

Add the fact that it's summer where I am with high ambient temps (28-32c) plus it's overclocked, it's not a bad temp reduction accross the board

Got to be the same for me as MrNeeds, and I am fortunate enough to be able to get one in two weeks, and with 9 fans (I think) (well thats what my computer bloke told me anyway, looks like he is wrong) (just re read the first few posts) it is perfect and a real gamers case.

I currently have a CoolerMaster case and its nice but the Antec beats it easily :D

As my room is so small and in the heatwaves we can get in the UK at times, this will mean that come the Summer I can still play my games and not worry about the heat factor, as I do now, two or three Summers ago when it was hitting 30+ centigrade here, all I could do was surf for 3 months, and as my graphics card gets very hot it really was like living in a sauner

yes my case does suck........ and the fan on the card only runs at %30
so yes one of those haf cases would be nice.....

Temps around my mobo are in the 20s, cpu runs from 26-35c idle and mid 50s on high load(Q6600 OC'd to 3.3Ghz)

Long time no see Mr Hyde, which CM model do you have and how can you say the Antec is better if you still not have it or are you going by reviews alone?

I knew this was going to be tough but you guys have given more toughness than I was ready to accept since you all have replies with good answers ... I am now more lost than before This is good though because it means that no matter which one I pick, I can not go wrong so it is also good!

Hi, Yes its been a long time, the usual stuff being the reasons for not being around.

This is roughly the model I have now

Reasons I said what I did is because the chap that built my PC has had well over 20 years of building them, has the case I am getting and believe me, he would only ever have the best for his PC so as to get people talking about what he has sitting there, (not just the case either) therefore selling more of them, he gave me a guided tour around the case and the sheer amount of fans it has (which as I mentioned is a major thing needed for me) also, the fans can all be adjusted speed wise, well take alook at this review which I read after he told me about it, just to see if what he said was for real, not that I doubt the guy, but I like to hear two sides or more to everything before hand.

I'll have this case in 2 weeks time, as a word of warning to me my computer chap told me that it is a half days work for him to do as it can be a devil to install stuff into it, this is the only thing that worries me in that he retires soon and if I need to install stuff into it I may struggle, but I can still get more info about that from him.

As one point, the grating on my current CM case is very tiny holes, looking at the Antec, they are much bigger allowing for better intake of air, to my mind the Review says it all :D

I still say the Antec 1200. I added another 120mm to mine to bring my total case fans to 8 and everything stay nice and cool. The case has a pretty good cable management also. It is a full size case but it makes things so much easier to get to.

Does anyone know if the case comes with any software ie a disk perhaps, I know this sounds a daft question as its only a case, but as there is so much to it, I just wonder :D
