Solved DVD reading error

when I put my Crysis disc in, nothing happens, and I click explore, then Windows says that its no disc in "E:" (drive), pleas insert a disc. the other two games, that doesn't show, it like Vista just keeps trying to read them, until explorer crashes.

Have you yet tried uninstalling the device from device manager?

Uninstalled and rebooted, but no change.
And I found a Vista Businesses DVD, tried it, but same problem as the other DVDs.

Well you could very well have a bad dvd drive. Have you done a complete Vista reinstall? This is really your only other option other than replacing the drive and seeing if it then works. With all the viruses and malware and possible file corruption you have had I would definitely reinstall Windows-Be sure to contact tech support to make sure you have all the necessary drivers/software apps prior to reinstallation. If the optical drive still has the same issues just replace it under your warranty.

have contacted the company I bought it from, and they think its the drivers that's bad, and since the system is only 4 months old and I still have 2 years warranty left, they will send me a new (better) driver + a 4gb RAM chip as "sorry" :D

I think its a bad drive, because as long as I can remember the Vist DVD has never gotten read. I think aprox. 2 weeks after I got the system, I tried the Vista DVD, but it didn't read then, but I though it wasn't that big of a problem, untill now. (if I remember correctly)
