Thanks for the tip. Yes the unit is 2.5" form format, but I will be making further detailed enquiries, just to make sure.

Hello guys im new here, so i just wanted to ask you if my new pc can run vista 64.

My system specs:

Amd 64 Phenom x3 8450 2.1 @3600 (is it good for new games?)
4gb ram @800
XFX Geforce 8600gt 1gb @540 clock
Samsung 320GB 7200 16mb
but...
my mobo is a "Foxconn M61PMV am2+/am2" made for windows XP but supports Vista. And ill have to keep this mobo for a while, so whould i go back to XP or go for vista 64.

My latest computer here scores a 5.8

Although I don't really put much stock into this type of rating system, I have to also admit that Im rather pleased to have a computer that scores 5.8 Im sure if I could find a program that would let me overclock the Phenom 9500 then I'd get a full 5.9 out of this computer.

The last computer that I bought (an Acer computer only about 2 weeks prior to buying this current computer) only scored a 4.8, and I was obviously pissed off enough about it to buy another computer even though the shop wont take back the last computer.

The computer prior to the Acer was a homebuilt computer with a DFI mainboard, AMD 64X2 4600+ and scored a 5.2

My current computer with this 5.8 score is a Gateway LX6200-01 with an added Nvidia 8800GTS 320MB factory OC'd. Other that AMD's overdrive utility not working on my computer to allow me to OC it just a little bit (been told that taking it from 2.2 to 2.8 is acceptable and it will run stable), other than the lack of a tool to OC it that works, this computer does allright by me.

Current computer as listed with the 5.8 score
AMD Phenom 9500 2.2GHz (not overclocked)
Memory: 8GB Ganged mode 800MHz
Nvidia 8800GTS 320MB OC by eVga
C:\ drive: Hitachi 750GB

I use to use a Raptor drive as my primary drive on my home built computer (2 computers back) but it scored really really bad on the Primary hard disk score, somewhere around 5.1 or 5.4 I've never bought another one since, because of that but mostly because they are noisey as nobodys business. The constant ticking when in use would drive a mouse crazy.

I think theres instructions in the first post, but if not then I simply press prtscn button when viewing it, then open paint and paste it as a new image, crop as needed, then post as attachment to this site or use service such as www.imageshack.us
