Window Experience Index Scores

I only have a 3.0 at the moment because my graphics card (nVIDIA 6150SE) is a piece of crap. I can't believe they still sell systems with only 128 mb graphics cards. I am going to be purchasing the best nVIDIA card on the market and installing it into my system. I may have to get another power supply, too...regardless, I am committed. :P

Anyone heard when they are going to update the scores to rate equipment beyond 5.9? Last I heard was SP1 would do that. However, that's come and gone...

Problem with that is my computer already has the latest Forceware drivers installed...so it's just plug and play when another nVIDIA card...if I switched to ATI, then I would have to do a bunch of extra bull****.

Well, on a dollar/hour basis, it wouldn't be too bad. The worst part is how hard it is to dump nVidia drivers. ATI set-up clearly has them beat in that area. Uninstalling old ATI drivers is very simple; in fact, it's even integrated into the new Catalyst installer (no more cleaning before installing the new one).

I build my self a AMD Spider system... its a 5.9

I don't know how to do the screen shot but I'm a 5.9

Intel Quad2core Q9450, LGA775 (2.66GHz, 12 MB L2 Cache, 1333 MHz FSB, 45 nm
nForce 790i Ultra SLI (evga version)

8GB DDR3 RAM @ 1333
*G15 (not installed now)
*XFi Xtremegamer Pro (not installed now)

it doesn't matter. I lock up at some point every time I have booted so far.

*Not installed components will be installed when I get the system stable. This has been the nightmare from hell so far. Don't offer suggestions here lol, I'm about to do a HELP thread.

Hey, thanks Dwarf. I'll try it later. LOL My brain hurts from trying to learn all about BIOS and if I can install my sound card without blowing up the world. Or blowing up my computer anyways. Opinions seem mixed.........

EDIT: What the heck, there's nothing like the present eh?

OK, I need some practice. Gotta find out what the snipping tool is. (NM I found it in accessories).

Three tries later and I think i have it right lol.
