Vista ISO download

Hi sorry about the quote, i just signed up and haven't had the time to figure out how to simple reply to a post just yet. :D


Well I just have a catastrophic motherboard melt down and was fortune enough to be gifted a simple dell laptop from a my brother.

The laptop is a E1705 limited to AO3 - 32bit processer and has Vista Home Premium installed yet I really would like to do a clean re-install minus the dell bloat - crap ware and media recovery hidden partition junk !

I moved away from Vista Ultimate 64x bit on my old system and went and ungraded to 7 and thought I wouldn't be needing it so I tossed it out , I know lesson learned

Though the Vista DVD Disc I had purchased back then was only SP1 so really wouldn't help me much anyway.

So my inquiry is a simple Vista Home Premium Edition w/ SP2 inbedded

Now i have the key code for the Vista Ultimate 64x bit edition SP1

will I be running into some trouble along the way?

Please can I have links to Vista Business 64 and Vista Home Premium 64 - isn't it the same iso and the key determines which version is installed? the movers were less than careful with my kit and I have a toasted hard drive in 2 boxes and no DVD to restore with... email is hidden and it lives on gmail.

Yes they are the same ISO. Your key decides the version that installs. Sent and good luck ;-)

After spending more than an hour googling furiously, and then downloading a to-my-mind-questionable file which included only SP1, I thought I'd died and gone to heaven when I finally came upon this thread and clicked on the last page with your post from just a week ago! If the download is still available, I'd be grateful for the link. (I do actually have my original Dell disc, but like my PC, it predates SP1 and I was dreading - to put it mildly - the thought of downloading all the updates through SP2!)

Can't believe I remembered my account login to this site! It's been a LONG time since I last posted/checked the forum out.

Anyways Peter.. If you don't mind I'm going to PM you for the link. I have a Gateway PC that is my church music directors that needs to be restored to factory... He messed up the factory recovery partition so I'm in a bind. I have the CD-Key on the back of the PC (thankfully).

Only 137 required updates (plus roughly 21 optional updates).

This is going to take a while. I haven't used Vista in forever! It looks like Win7 lol

After those 150 updates it found more.. lol and after another reboot it found more. So far that's it lol

After you install all the updates and install all your software, make and image with Macrium. If you ever have the problem again you will have an up to date image. Keep the image updated, if you ever have the problem again you have a choice go back to the original image when everything was perfect or use the most current image that you made.

I have an x86 (32-bit) Vista with SP2 iso if anyone needs it. Which is the best method to get it to you? I also have the x64 one.

I am trying to switch to the 64bit Vista Home Edition because the 32 bit won't utilize but so much RAM and I have found that I need it to do more. I was wondering if you still have this iso available. Also do you have any suggestions on how I can get it? I don't think email will allow something that large. I apprecciate it. Amanda
