Latest NVIDIA ForceWare Video Drivers

Went back to the 186.91 and as expected battlefield 2 is nice n sharp with no texture shimmering. The 2d/3d clock switching isnt affected by aero in windows 7 either. I'm really not sure what is going on with the 190-191.* series drivers in battlefield 2... It's like having vsync off at about arms length while the rest of the screen is fine but at times it lags aswell.

Think i'll stay with 186.91 till these 19* drivers have matured abit more!

guys, i just bought a BFG geforce GTX 260 maxcore to replace my radeon 3870x2 which was crapping out on me. my question is this, i have been with ATI cards since the geforce 4000 series so it has been awhile and i want to know if i can just install new drivers over the top of the old one or do i need to uninstall the driver then install the new forceware driver?

Hello Harry,

You can just install the new NVIDIA drivers on top of the old ones without a problem. I would recommend restarting the computer afterwards though, even if you are not prompted to.

Battlefield 2 is still having that wierd texture sync issue when walking which comes and goes , every single one of the 190-191 drivers does this. It also feels a little laggy at times , not one of the 18* drivers does it!.

So back to 186.91 !
