The people with really nice laptop's, is their battery life significantly lower than someone with a standard oem student laptop? I'm just curious because with my scores (which aren't that great) I'm getting exactly, on the minute, three hours of battery life. Mostly that was chess and internet browsing, nothing exhausting. Sorry to throw the thread off topic, just curious..

wow! i would have thought that a velocity micro rig would have been a no brainer at straight 5.9s. hmmm. kinda stange that you got 5.9 in everything except memory. it's not a terrible score by no means, just surprising that you don't have straight 5.9s.

Hi, I am new here and I just installed Windows Vista x64. The Windows Expierience Index is also new to me since I have only used XP.
After installing Vista my base score was only 1.0. Then I updated my graphics card driver and mother board driver and my score jumped to 5.9:geek:

It's nice to meet you all and I hope to learn alot here.

its probably because the drivers were not vista drivers or were not installed properly because vista would not read the drivers correctly if that was so
