Still quite good considering I pay for 100/10. Now paying 33 USD a month.

Oh my god . How much does that cost?
I'm not sure, but I think at the moment we are paying between $6,68 - $9,55 a month..:)

Thats nice! Had no idea Telia offered such good connections. And so cheap!

Is that speed correct? That really is fast anbd so cheap. The cost is the only thing that makes me doubt the authenticity of the speed.

We are about to upgrade our package to 23 mbps. Unfortunately I'm off a three year old Netgear wireless router... So I'm sure that's limiting me to what I could be at.

Any suggestions on a good router to upgrade to?

Hi Americano,

I am on 50 meg and use Netgear for my applications away from my direct wired computer. I always use Netgear as the equipment is good and the service back up is great.

I suggest you look at a WRN2000 router. This will give you up to 300mbps and 5 x coverage. However, always remember that your wired application will always give the best performance and it depends on the time of the day on what speed you get. Nothing is guaranteed until you pay for it.

We are about to upgrade our package to 23 mbps. Unfortunately I'm off a three year old Netgear wireless router... So I'm sure that's limiting me to what I could be at.

:) Just up the road. Try Virgin, they are the fastest by far. I don't think they have 50meg in your area but I know they have 20.

We just got our package updated today and after running a speed test the connection is at the same amount. I don't know if they didn't upgrade the speed or if I am already at the maximum speed my router can transfer. Do you, or anyone else, know if this is the case? My router model is:

NETGEAR MR814 v2

Are you directly wired or wireless? If you are wireless that is possibly your problem.

The easiest way to get around this would be just to run a cable to your router. Just borrow one and lay it accorss the floor to your pc and see if this improves the perofmance However if you are already wired that is a different issue please advise.

Can you please advise how many others may be using this router at any one time?

There's your problem. If you have 20meg that will vary during the day anyway. To then have your a share of that "delivered service" will reduce your use again. There is nothing you can do I am afraid, unless you get a dedicated supply.
