That would be good if it did work. I haven't heard of different amount of cores not working though, it just needed to be the same core and have the same amount of RAM for SLI to work I though, and really they do both have the same core just one has had a few cores unlocked.

yes, mixing a 260 192 with a 260 216 will work.. but the faster card will run slower. but oh well.

No reason to buy the XXX version, just overclock them on your own.

The XXX editions in XFX cards usually has better fan controls in the BIOS. I had an XXX edition and a normal version of my 8800s and if I tried overclocking the normal one to the same speeds as an XXX, it got a lot hotter.

So I got the BIOS from the XXX and flashed the normal card and it does't run as hot as it did.

thanks for the advice guys, i have decided to get the black edition instead of the XXX edition, one thing is clear, im definately going for xfx, packaging is immaculate and farcry2 cant go amiss
