Show us your rig

I would show off a picture of my rig, but I don't exactly have a digital camera, and I'm going to be getting the Antec P182 case within the next few weeks.

Sam, yours should be ok as long as the desk isn't pushed up against the wall where it opens in the back. Can't tell from the pic. Give it at least 4-5 inches to exhale that hot air or you'll just draw it back into the system when that small space fills up. Check out my shots, you'll see just how open my system is. My case and fan setup have my internal system temperature just 4c over ambient. Give em room to breathe!! :) And keep several cans of air duster handy, stuff is a life saver!!

My Computer

yeah i service my computer every 2500km...lol

every couple of months i take it in to my mate (who owns a computer store) and get him to strip it and clean it (i dont like the head aches of striping and rebuilding a liquid cooled system)

Mine gets it every month. I strip it and clean it myself. It is a pain so I have turned my fans down from high to medium, hopefully only having to clean it every 2 months.

Every 2 months? Holy smokes that's often. I clean mine about once a year. The server w/ loads of fans? Twice a year. My advice? Get some really fine meshing to put over your fans. Maybe better filters in your household ventilation? (Not trying to offend, but you should not need to clean your gear out that often!)

My Computer

 Cleaned?

I replace the motherboard cpu and fans every 18 months, does that count?

I live in the country, alot of dust and pollen from the fields. I will look at getting a finer mesh but now the fans are turned down it seems to be alot better.

The only reason I like to keep mine as clean is because of the side window and the lights. I could get away with doing it once a year but I built the perfect system, It may as well look perfect as well:p

Just as well it is not water cooled, you would have no where to put the extra cables:)
