No wireless connection

I went into mobility center when I turned on my computer and the Wireless Network Tile wasn't there. I have the other tiles as you do above for a total of 6. This led me to go to device manager and once again my Intel WiFi Link 5100 adapter has a yellow triangle with exclamation. I went into properties and it says device cannot start (code 10). why would this reappear when it was fixed and went away?

I have no problem putting my computer back to its original state when I purchased it as I do have that backup but is there a way for me to put my microsoft office back on that I installed without using up the last of my 3 available installs?

Sorry for the late reply, I was away.

If you're happy to do it then a clean install would be better. As for the MS Office problem, if you give Microsoft a call and ask them what to do because they'll be able to help you:

If you need any help reinstalling Windows or you still aren't sure about MS Office then give me a shout :)

Yes I do need help as I have never done this before. My first question is, can I backup MS Office and my Rosetta Stone somehow sow that I can just re-add it after I do the clean install to my original purchase state or is the only option to use the actual Office and Rosetta Stone disks?

Do you have a Vista installation disc or a recovery partition?

I'm afraid you're going to have to install the programs from the discs again

Won't this wipe out everything on my computer and all I will have is the operating system? I am not concerned about files, but I am concerned about keeping the programs that my computer already had installed on it when I bought it.

I don't mean to go in circles but this information you just posted is different then the clean install info you posted previously. I know that this upgrade install will upgrade my operating system while allowing me to keep my programs which is what I want but my primary concern is trying to fix my wireless internet issue so will doing it this way instead of the clean install way, possibly fix my driver and software issues this fix my internet issue??

Sorry, perhaps I should've made myself clearer. Ignore anything I said about clean installs - I didn't realise that the software you wanted to keep came pre-installed on the computer. Let's try upgrading to Windows 7 and if the problem still remains then we'll go down a different route

Okay. I will do the Windows 7 upgrade and see what happens, if all is well, then I will re-install after purchase software such as Rosetta Stone and Microsoft Office. Thank you so much for your help.

Its no problem at all. You wont have to install any software, the upgrade should preserve it all.
