i see no real reason why not, the banks are set for 3 ''matching'' DIMMs, as all will match that should allow for ''tri-channel'' (cant be sure though this triple kit lark is pretty new ground)

I thought is should, but wasn't sure if they had something special for the x3.

Think I will get the 1 stick for the build and get the rest mail order just to be sure.

You might get a normal single and then a true triple kit and keep the other as a spare - remember, these boards are still very new and abnormalities could ensue.

Other than that, I am jealous - I cannot afford the board *and* CPU *and* ram *and* SSD.....

i have no idea how much they are or if they're available yet, but they're VERY nice.

Based on these results, the question of whether it's worth shelling out for fancy memory for a Core i7 build depends largely on which processor you're going to use and what applications you'll be running. If you have your heart set on a Core i7-965 Extreme and will be running applications capable of taking advantage of additional memory bandwidth, by all means splurge on some DDR3-1600 DIMMs. Sure, you'll pay twice the price of pedestrian DDR3-1066 modules

Tested together at 1600MHz, Vdimm = 1.65V, at latency settings of 8-8-8-24 on X58-based motherboards.

1600MHZ, CL8, 1.65V = WIN!!!! ...... & a lifetime warranty to boot

the thermaltake is absolutly huge so I think I will put my old q6600 in that and stick it under my desk as a server.
