I have had my computer for over a year now. run vista x64. usually had my e6750 overclocked to 3GHZ and ive never had a problem.

as of 3 days ago, my pc will randomly freeze, bsod, and freeze on boot. i tried updating my bios, and now im thinking about reformatting but i think it might the ram? i ran the vista memory diagnostics test and my ram past with out any problems.

here are a few BSOD codes ive written down, hopefully that help

system_service_exception
driver_power_state_failure
memory_management
interrupt_exception_not_handled

i have my pc's bios on its factory defaults and the problem still occurs.

heres my pc specs:

this dump isn't going to be alot of help, b ut may give us some direction. there are drivers on your system that are from 2006 and anything that old is a problem.

So find updates for anything you can bios, video, sound, usb, lan, etc

On this dump the ntkrnmp.exe triggered it but it doesn't say which file

The BUGCHCK_STR 0x3D might also be related to your cpu, it might not have enough air and is overheating. Underclock it and are your hard drives in a RAID configuration?

i actually have a zalman heatsync on it and the cpu idles at a nice 35C
45C under load.

i took back my overclocks since i started BSODing.

so far, my pc has been running for about 5 hours now. it seems like the problem just went away on its own and i didnt do anything changes to my system.

ever since i ran the vista memory diagnostics test the problem went away. the test said my ram was fine too.

When you download SP2, disconnect from the internet, reboot, and then temporatily shut down your antivirus before install.
