How to get an animated forum avatar?

did exactly what you said. saved this image on desktop and chose this image as an avatar, its not working. I think this avatar is not worth it. Dwarf could you please search for an animated avatar of a superwoman or something like that which fits properly as an avatar for me?

That's strange. I changed mine to this avatar temporarily using the method I described to check and, as you can see, it is animated. Try again, making sure that you don't accidentally change the file extension by mistake.

Yes it opens up in IE 8 and it animates well. thats what i dont understand. if it animates well in IE, why wont it animate when selected as an avatar?
