Thanks sygnus21; for your 26 years! And the input. So what were you working on mostly? (pix maybe?)

Joan Archer; Does someone appear to be "worried"?
Just a simple question.. not intended to be complicated ;)
So, did you check the NO? (Thanks)

You youngsters; I am sorry that I did not think of that response :o My oversight. If there is a way to correct it please advise.

I was an Egress technician. For you civilians or non Air Force types :), that's ejection seats. Although my last 8 years had me doing all sorts of jobs outside the shop. Prepared me well for the business world.

I was stationed at Dyess when I did my TDY to Elmendorf; we brought our B-1's up there. I want to say it was around Mar of 89.

i remember the b-1's there... those are the loudest planes i have ever heard! wasn't the exercise called (something like) amalgam warrior or amalgam brave? i remember an excercise where some guard and reserve units from the lower 48 were there practicing, as well as the b-1's.

oh, and i guess i should clarify as well... a.g.e. mechanic=aerospace ground equipment mechanic. in other words, i dispatched and repaired the equipment the aircraft used while it was on the ground. i.e. generator sets, hydraulic testing units, air conditioners (yes, even in alaska), air compressors, etc. all of the aforementioned are known as powered a.g.e., meaning that (ta da) they are powered by gas, diesel, or electric motor. there are also non-powered a.g.e. those are the aircraft towbars, maintenance stands, aircraft jacks, etc. i spent all of my 11 1/2 years doing that.

Nice. I want a tank....

So I had a Marnie recruiter come to my Band class today and talked about the Marine Band. With any luck, I will be good enough to make it into that in a bout a year. Thats the plan anyways. If not, then I still plan on sticking in the military. :)

That must have been about when I left, I cant remember now, but it was the first or second wave of redundancies. Took the money and ran :p

The enemy must have read the previous post, who ever they are. They just blew up a beer in my fridge! There was this horrible explosion, and when i opened the door, it just poured out together with glass pieces and potatoes. There must surely be some kind of international convention banning this kind of weapons. Otherwise I call for one NOW! And the sanitary forces are away this weekend...

I had no idea there was so much stuff in a fridge, wonder what it's for...
