windows update has restarted laptop, i opened dxdiag and says DirectX 11 is installed.
woohoo!

This is still an issue with DX11 cards still not showing DDI 11 under the display tab in Windows 7. Hopefully they give some fix for that in Windows 7 now, as this isn't for it.


Although, it still doesn't show DX11 from the W.E.I assessment details with this.

Well i got it to install, not quite sure why i did it really, if it's new i just gotta have it i suppose.
By the time any DX11 games come out i will be too old to see them, or play them.

two oc'ed 5770's at 960mhz would be worth the money instead of one 5780.

Thanks for this. Since installing one of my Vista boots now takes 3 times as long to get past the scrolling bar stage.

Hopefully that will eventually iron itself out.

2.- With latest games being bad Console Ports, at least the FPS games I play, is it really cost effective, or even worth it, to spend money on a DX11 video card?

1.- no use at all , but if i can have it i will get it also i will have a DX11 card running on this install soon , but not long after ill be upgrading to 7 anyway

2.- impossible to tell , i nearly gave up on pc gaming altogether not long ago and bought an X Box im very unhappy about the way pc gaming is going at th moment but decided to give it another year , this may well be my last ever pc upgrade.
