now o do have the best question for you .
i just did buy a vista home premium retail key's only .no cd .
but after reading all the print i found out that i need a retail cd or cant i use the microsoft update cd that came with a brand computer that i got in 2007 .
this is the cd i use to install all my vista key's never had a problem yet .
but now they are retail key's so i just don't know
lucky that o only paid 21.00 for them .
they are from microsoft this is what it mention if you readd all fine prints .
i thing i will have to call microsoft the poor bill gate

no it is not .not from what i read .
if you like i could send the link them you could tell if it reall or not .
am 68 and and some my reading play trick on me .
it said that they get all the key's from microsoft .
now you do not get any thing .all you get is the key's via email .
no cd nothing .this is why i ask you if i could use the cd i have .well i do have 2 cd from microsoft the same that came when i got my first brand new pc in 2007 i did sold it last year but i did keep the cd .
ha well it just 21.00 not 210.00 .
this will be the first time i loose some money .
i just did copy the key's on the computer that i use maybe .
this the computer am using now .never use it .

Sorry, real life comes over internet.

The illegal part is that the cd key is bought by HP, or Dell to put only on their systems. This is a OEM copy, and can only be used on the computer it came from. So if its sold without the computer, it goesa against how microsoft said it could be used.

Now a Retail key is different, that type you buy the vista key, so you can do what you want.

Lots of people do it, but it still not suyppose to be done, and the key and vista works just fine.

plus the guy send me the link to make the retail cd because you need a retail cd to install the key's .but this morning it took me 1.06 minutes to download .
now i have the cd also .
i guees they have to many retail key's that no one want to buy i guess .
do you really thing that any one would pay 130.00 and over for vista no way .
they go for window 7.
last year i did buy window 7 i thing it cost me over 150.00 and i did not like the look of it so i sold for 50.00

Okay, if it is a retail version, than all is good and you will have no issues.

Win7 is pretty good, but it does look different.
