acer 5315 ongoing

What hard drive do you have? Identify the model in device manager and then download the SATA drivers onto a USB formatted with FAT32 so the WinPE install environment can read it.

Another day another problem...

In reply to the suggestion about finding the driver for my hdd - I did not think hdd's needed drivers - it's a Toshiba MK804GSX ATA but I looked on the Tosh site and could not find any mention of drivers for hdd - for their other products yes - but not hdd's.

You have been really good in trying to help but believe me the e recovery is missing/deleted whatever, suppose by previous owner/owners. I am about to cut my losses and drop one acer in the bin and go and buy a decent ide laptop or could I just buy a replacement hd. No sniping tool in basic so I did the screen shot with a camera
rather than download an add on software.
