XP Not assigning drive letters to a USB drive.

Hey All,

I have a USB flash drive I use day in, day out, I plug it into a customers laptop, and it wont show in My Computer.

I look in Device Manager, the drivers are loaded and it works fine, then I look in Disk Management, the drive shows, all working great, it even shows partition size and volume name!

I then manually give it a drive letter, now it shows the drive letter in Disk Management, but navigating back to My Computer, still no drive, even after refreshing.

I then plug it into ANY other PC, and it works a treat!!

Any ideas?

Hi Rome,
The only time I ever ran into this issue was when I had E/F/G drives already mapped. I had to unmap E and then E would show up for me USB flash drive. Not sure why it won't skip to H.
