Wireless Mouse Issue

I have a Logitech G7 wireless mouse hooked up to my Vista 64 box, and recently it's been acting up. From time to time, the mouse seems to just reset. It has a button on it to adjust DPI, and there are three levels at which to set it. I always have it set to high, but it frequently resets to medium and isn't functional for a few seconds. Needless to say, this is really annoying. Does anyone have any ideas for a fix?

Hello Vash Aurion,
You need an optional update from Windows Update Center. It's called " other hardware Hid Non-user Input Data Filter " which is designed specifically for wireless mice/keyboards. If you can't find it from Windows Update, go to google search box and type IntelliPoint , install that and you'll find the optional update.

I suppose you installed the last drivers.
If you have Wifi, stop it just to see if the symptom still exists.

I can't get to the files on Windows Update Center, and when I tried to install Intellipoint, it asked me for the name of the product I'm using, and the G7 isn't a choice. What should I tell the program?

Hello Vash,
Just put down something general. I think it's just for their record. I mean there is no way there are dozens of intellipoints ,each for one particular product. Try it. It won't hurt anything. However, if the optional won't work for you, you will have to get one that is Microsoft compatible. But I don't think you have to come to that.
