Aaah. Well, with no offense to your preferences, my recommendation to others will still be thus: give 7-Zip a whirl, and if only if it disappoints move to a commercial solution. Guess I'm just a cheap guy.

sorry for the very late response. great discussion going in here btw. :D for updates, i instaled now winzip 11 and uninstall the 8 version but to no avail... still the same no context menus at all even if i checked the context menu options. sounds weird. i guess i have to try updating winrar since it is free. Send me some luck
EDIT: for now, i am running my OS on defaults.
