Hi everyone, I am currently running Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit, and recently I haven't been able to install any of my windows updates. I think the problem started after I installed SP1. I keep getting the error message "Windows cannot check for updates" along with the error code 800736b2. I've been to Microsoft for a possible solution, they're no help, and I've searched all over the internet for an answer only to be greeted with the same result. I'm at whits end here. At this point I'm willing to try anything.
I've tried: Resetting the windows update component (not sure if it was done right though), scanned for viruses (with AVG, and Panda non present), as well we disabling my cookies and firewalls etc. Nothing seems to work, and I can't find any information on this error. All answers are welcomed
Could it be a registry error?
Thanks so much guys! Also, Ive been hearing I'm not the only one with this problem?
