When I click to open the messenger nothing happens at all.
Hi Tete112,
See what happens when you click directly on the .exe file.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Live\Messenger\msnmsgr.exe
Are you receiving any error messages?
You might try reinstalling Messenger to see if that will fix the problem.

I had this issue and when I went to check for the .exe there was nothing there. This certainly explained why nothing was happening.
I had to uninstall, delete the folder and then reinstall. Works fine now.
Aspirilla,
LOL, that would definitely explain it.
Glad to hear you got it working now.
