Windows explorer no responding

Yes, that is right. All we are doing, now, is trying to find the cause. If it works with clean boot we will most definately find the cause.

Didn't work out. Will I need to go back through config to reverse the boxes I clicked? If it helps or not, here is the file which keeps hanging up. This time it showed zero objects infected (obviously didn't finish the scan however). It can take up to 5 minutes reading this file as the "objects scanned" goes through hundreds of numbers.

You might as well enable Norton again. When we disabled it did not do any good.

Should I try to actually run norton separately again vs maleware?
Fyi, approx 3 yrs ago i had a bug on this computer and took it to a repair shop. The fella there gave me 6 system recovery discs. Don't know if this info is helpful or not as I had never heard of creating a recovery point until reading some of the threads on the forums.

Do the following
Run the quick scan in quick scan mode. If negative try the Anti Virus, again.

Ok, done. Ran full norton also and all it came up with was 2 cookies. Shall I reboot the computer and see if explorer works or make another feeble attempt at the full malware scan?

My Computer

Actually, if you made a malware scan in safe mode and a quick scan. Your system should be clean of malware, at this point.

Put them in quarrantine and see what happens.
Quarrantine has the same effect as delete. The malware become harmless.

This is what I am going to do. Since each member has his own talents and skills, I am going to contact our malware expert, to make sure there is no hidden malware on your system. Is that OK with you?

Do what ya gotta do Richard. You already have been VERY patient with me on this and I am GRATEFUL. Obvious to me that the problem is deeper so that would be great if ya don't mind. Any idea how long it may take for a reply (guestimated that is)? Have some running around to do in town so may be off for an hour.
