Hi Hokie,

Looks like Defender has "forgotten " it has done a scan .

This may be because it's log files are being cleared.

Do you use some sort of cleaning utility, like Ccleaner ?

If so, check it's options to see if it is clearing Defender logs.

Thanks for quick reply. I do not have Cleaner on this PC. Did on old Sony with XP. The only cleaner I think I have is MS disk cleaner which I used only once but recall not selecting any log type files to be cleaned. How do I check the defender log to see if it has entries?

Hi Hokie,

They are kept here, but you can't read them.

Next time he asks it's worth checking to see if there's one there.
