Windows Defender Trick

Hello, gentlemen, perhaps we are missing the point. The person who initiated this Winsows Defender trick suggested this because he personally does not want to cluster the notification area. If we want a quick access to the WD by way of a shortcut, why Quick launch? Why not just simply put a shortcut on the desktop ?
I have truckload of shortcuts on the desktop.

I agree. I like the default setting as well. It makes it much more easier to notice when it just pops-up on you. :eek:
