Thanks for all you help people. I'm gonna try to do your #8 post.

Someone also suggested installing the updated one by one. However I don't recall this option being anywhere and there is only the option to "install updates" from what I've seen.

Help.

My Computer

First one I don't see the relevance.

Second is installing an update. Problem is the only 3 (mandatory) updates I cannot even install. I think post #8 nailed it but I haven't tried it yet.

Don't see how any of those tell me how I can install updates one by one. Isn't there just an option like "install updates 1 by 1"?

I suspect any undentified 3p application cause this problem and thus I offer clean boot which disable all non-system services from 3p applications, and try Application Compatbility hotfix which can solve some issues with 3p applications as well

Try it as well.

Go to Control Panel>>Winodws Updates>>View Available Updates:

uncheck almost all -only leave one checked update (your choose which one you choose) and apply

And now the last thing that has yet to fail me is completely uninstalling Office. WTF Microsoft? Why are you having issues with your own products? Microsoft Vista can't install updates for a MICROSOFT product, Office? Give me a break. It is definitely not third party interfering because I did a clean boot and it still failed. I installed a new OSX or whatever file from the Office CD and that did nothing, as well. ANYONE ELSE here have Office 2003?

New error code this time:

Another thing worth showing:

Untitled2-1.jpg

Does the latter have anything to do with the fact I can't install updates (the only ones I can't install are the Office 03 ones though, so others I am able to install)?

Make sure that Windows Firewall is turned off if you have another firewall installed.
You could try locating them at Microsoft's website by the KB #, downloading them manually to your desktop, right-click/Properties and click Unblock, Apply, OK.
Then attempt the installation one by one.
You know that support for Windows Update has always been free at the Microsoft website, so you could try that online, email or on the phone.
If you are in the US/Canada try to call Microsoft at 1-866-727-2338 and they will have a tech call you back when it's the best time for you. The tech will ask for your permission to have control of your computer and will have you set up within a half hour or so.

Yeah ABOUT that. I just reviewed this thread to check something before I am to post about it and I will now...no one even hinted at downloading each of these BUT from the main download site! Because THAT IS what worked and it was only "windows updates" in my programs being a *****.

Before I read the above comment, for some reason I expected he was going to give the solution, the right solution, and of course this was after the problem was already fixed. Damn you people! jk, thanks a lot. Your time and help here is much appreciated.
