In case you dont know the test you refer to is done with highest settings - why Avira detects so well. High with Avira is really high and not just for show. On medium it still detects as good as ESET on high! - but with less FPs of course.
Now Ive used Avira for 2-3 weeks may be time to thrash it? I have some things to complain about already. This you can only find out once you use it, as AV-Comparatives say again and again.
If you look at their table on page 2 does it not make all your mashups redundant? In many cases you see an Advanced+ become Standard in like 3 months! That means your November juggling most likely is misleading/worthless. May be Symantec is now on a new Advanced+++++ level?
AV-comparatives them self have a problem because they sometime say "have a look at our February rappport for how well blah blah" - while knowing conditions for X product can change very fast. Why they keep testing! There is no reason to believe old rapports can be used for much today - except get a feel for consistency. News get old very fast. Also they use their own so called performance report as a parameter in the yearly award ceromony - if you know a little of computers try read it through. Close to useless. There is good reason they doubt it them self - but later they use "results" anyway. No surprise that was the exact picture you chose to post here (and removed again!) The very least relevant test ever - but ESET won so... AV-Comparatives is about the only site I would trust testing AV, for what it is worth, but they are also trapped in the 3-2-1 star/winners problem. What they warn against they practice, even if less screaming than TopTenReviews. X does not have to be crap because Z won - or Z only won because todays test conditions were in its favor.
