Weird boot up

I have vista 64bit home premium and my computer is also custom built by me. I turned on my computer today and i noticed the bootup time was unusually slow. Next, I noticed that my 'Welcome screen like the one below is also gone.

vista-welcome.JPG

it just goes straight from Vista Orb to my desktop (normally, it goes from Vista orb, then welcome screen, then my desktop).

Also, normally it plays the vista orb sound then the startup chime. However, mine plays both at the same time now.

I did not change anything and I do not know why my computer is acting all weird. Once I got to the desktop, there doesn't seem to be any problem. Anyone know what's wrong?

I rebooted multiple times, defragmented my hard drive, etc. and the problem is still present.

Have you changed any of the startup options in msconfig or windows defender? Have you scanned with malwarebytes?

No I did not, my bootup time was fine yesterday. I disabled windows defender since i installed vista64bit on my computer. Today I turned on my computer and suddenly it started booting up all weird and slowly.

Scan with Malwarebytes and SuperAntiSpyware. If the pc is new, the scans shouldn't take too long. Also run sfc /scannow in an elevated command prompt and check event viewer for any errors. Finally did you plug everything into the right space in your pc? Just to double-check.

I'm scanning right now and so far it found nothing (as of right now as i type). My PC is about 2 years old and i formatted it with vista64 9 months ago. I haven't touched anything in my PC for months and this problem suddenly happened today.
I've used kaspersky antivirus for years with no problems if that's helpful.

Check event viewer and open the log in the picture - diagnostics performance and see if anything is coming up as critical, repeatedly or as an error:

Why would my welcome screen suddenly disappear and why did my boot speed more than double?

I just finished scanning and with Malwarebyte and it found nothing.

If you look through them, do any services stand out?

Use autoruns and the logon tab or use msconfig. That will list what is starting. Task Manager doesn't really help. Check your hard drive for errors and defrag too.

I really doubt my issue has to do with boot up...

You don't need the adobe speed launcher or virtual clone drive. Have you run diagnostics?

Sorry, I'm a noob when it comes to fixing OS issues. How would I run diagnostics?

Right click your drive in Windows Explorer and then select properties and on the tools menu, choose check for errors and tick both boxes. Reboot and wait for the results. For the memory, type mem in the start menu and select enter, after the hard drive check. Reboot.

I ran CHKDSK and it found no issues. I also ran memtest86 to see if i got bad RAM and I got 10 passes and no errors.

I seem to have the same problem as this person. I also tried clearing out my prefetch and I'm still getting long boot up time.
