I don't understand why when I run chkdsk on an external drive, Vista64 insists on rebooting if I have "automatically fix file system errors" checked. I mean, it's not the boot partition. It's not the Windows partition. What gives?
edit: nevermind. Just had to disconnect network shares and stop Everything Search. Then I could chkdsk from command line.
