Vista x64 Error help please

I have been running this operating system for 4 months now and have to say it was worth it. But now I have a bug in the system that I can't seem to find. But I think it has something to do with a recent update I received from Microsoft.

My computer will go into the blue screen of death in start up and then widows will reboot into the option screen. I have some options there, But the only one that will work is the resort back to my last known good config.

I was wondering if anyone else that is running Vista 64bit and has 4 gigs of ram is running in to this problem.

You might be better off not installing SP1 via Windows Update but instead downloading the standalone version, burning it to a CD, and installing from that instead. Should you at a future point in time have to reinstall Vista, this will save you time in deploying SP1.
