Vista Ultimate 32bit Freezing - Multiple Symtoms

I have had multiple freeze events, sometimes even at the choice of user (before logging in) - all with no minidumps being created.

Last night I had 2 minidumps. I include them here.

I now use the boot timer function taken from a boot up tuning thread and can see the boot time varies between 155 and 180 seconds. Now a minidump has occurred I will look at tuning the startup and services.

I turned on boot logging to see what is happening during startup and there were 2 driver entries with a ??/.. at the start of the path.

Do you think there is also a driver path issue?

Regards, GF

It looks good, but will not be sure until we test.
These BSODs were caused by the verifier, this is good. This is what we wanted.
They both indicate the same driver
NETw5v32.sys
Lets update driver and see how it goes from there
The driver is dated 10/09, it may be the most current, if so roll back to previous driver.

From the Carrona.org site there a 3 versions listed.
Mon Nov 17 10:40:18 2008 (49219062)
Thu May 14 11:40:33 2009 (4A0C3B71)
Tue Sep 15 15:34:10 2009 (4AAFEC32)

This evening I will try reloading the latest first and see how that goes.

As it took some time for the driver verifier to create a minidump perhaps I should use the low resource simulation. There are a number of settings when this option is selected - do you have any recommendations?

This is the one you had. Yo have to go for the most current.

You did the verifier just fine. It takes time to do itst job and we had 3 BSOD
Go to the site and get the most current offered. If nothing more current try to rollback to prior one.
