MVP's are not paid employees of Microsoft they may have a few small treats but mainly it is an award that Microsoft give to people who are helpful in forums and newsgroups.
They are all volunteers and do it because they like to help, I don't have the link to hand but if you were to search for Microsoft MVP Awards you will probably find out all about it.

Not quite. Our share is actually the notes poking out of the top of the bag - the rest is covered by various taxes. These are, in no particular order and non-exclusively, as follows.

Bag tax. Paper tax. Ink tax (each colour taxed separately). Printing tax. Bag manufacturers tax. Paper makers tax. Ink developers tax. Government (also known as thieves) tax. Weight tax. Tax administration tax.
