Vista Error when installing

Theres an .exe file for something to do with lightscribe on there, but i can't load it, it says i can load it from a USB so i put it on there and it wouldn't show up on the device...

can you safe boot? if you double click the exe file it might expand into a folder somewhere. check it out

The file wont show up in the browser i know i have put it on the USB but it wont show up.

where is the file now? you downloaded it to somewhere and you are trying to put it on a usb, right?

I downloaded it to my laptop cuz i am using my laptop to get intouch on the forum, i download from my laptop to a USB flash drive, and i plugged the usb flash drive into my computer and pressed browse to try find the file on my desktop which is the broken one and i can't find it.

there are two things can be wrong. first it would be easier for your computer to recognise if it is on dvd than usb. Your computer may not load usb drivers till later. the second thing is it may be looking for something other than an exe file. HP may have 2 versions. One exe, and the other an *.inf file.

the exe file may expand to the inf folder, I dont know. You may have to look around a bit.

I have looked around i can't find anything that will pick it up and install it.... and my Windows 7 is really annoying me now it keeps crashing.

No as its a .exe and i am using my Macbook.

You are using the mac for support while your PC isn't working, but the PC isn't another mac, correct?

Yeh i am only using my Mac to get the support to fix my broken PC.
